The Mandiri Mobile transaction menu allows customers to check their balances and account history, make transfers, purchase cell-phone credit, and pay their power, phone, cable TV and credit card bills. It also provides a wide variety of information ranging from interest rates to the locations of Bank Mandiri branches and ATMs, accompanied by maps.

Users can customize the menu features, including font size and language, and save the details of frequent payments in “My Favorites.” User can even use their favorite photos as the main menu profile photo.

Other benefits include a simple registration process and no extra charges. The only requirement is that the customer is already a subscriber to a GPRS or 3G data package. However, in the case of iPhone users, the customer is charge for the cost of the text messages containing their one-time passwords for conducting transactions.

In order to avail of Mandiri Mobile services, all the customer has to do is activate the Mandiri SMS service and download the relevant Mandiri Mobile application. For iPhone users, the Mandiri Mobile application can be downloaded at any Apple Store, while Blackberry and Android users can do so by sending an SMS to 3355.

“These latest innovations are proof of our commitment to making our e-banking services the best. This is only the beginning of that process, and we will be introducing a range of new innovations in the future,” explained Budi.

Between January and May of this year, the volume of Bank Mandiri Mobile Banking transactions amounted to 46.6 million, with an overall value of Rp 8.7 trillion. This represented an increase of 43% over the same period last year, when total transaction value amounted to Rp 6.1 trillion.
