Remittance Business: Bank Mandiri Hong Kong Says Money Transfers to Rise 30%24 July 2012
The month of Ramadhan and Idul Fitri not only bring blessings to Muslims, but also banks that provide remittance services. For example, Bank Mandiri Hong Kong predicts that remittances will be 30% higher than normal. This is in line with the tradition of Indonesian migrant workers sending money to their families at home. Bank Mandiri’s Hong Kong branch general manager Dikdik Yustandi said on Sunday (15/7) that he expected remittances to grow by between 30% and 40% over Ramadhan and Idul Fitri.
